Beat maths anxiety
Nobody is 'just not a maths person'. Your brain grows with practice.
You can get better at maths
Being good at maths is not something you are born with. It is built by practice, like football or music. Every mistake you learn from makes you stronger.
Instead of 'I'm bad at maths', say 'I can't do this YET'.
When panic hits
Put your pen down. Breathe in slowly for 4 counts, hold for 4, and breathe out for 4. Do it three times.
Then start with the easiest question you can find. Small wins calm your mind.
Talk to someone
If worry about school stops you sleeping or eating, talk to a parent, teacher or school counsellor. You don't have to handle it alone.
